I just hate thinking of titles

jamming today was tiring...dunno y play so fast... haha..but fun la... went to adam's house after tt to buy the iron cobras... haha..wah...his house shiok sia...got guitar got bass got drumset... got comp wif nice speakers..

movin on to another topic.. 2 toms seems like a very nice option to haf... the ride can be put in a very nice position , the crash above it and can add a china on the right side... a very playable option and minus the hassle of getting tt ride tom in tt virtually unfindable ideal position...

however... i love 3 toms alot...alot of my fills involve the right tom... and i still find it weird not having the right tom there...

watched mars volta video at adam's house...man they are crazy! they are a great band..just tt the hair is kinda out of the world...

double pedals settled... so my buying list currently looks like this.
1. Fender telecaster
2. Marshall 15w amp
the effects pedals...

my neighbour's fu*king up on me now... sian man... hope the matter resolves soon... one way or another..

first jamming session wif the chinese band done... well..conclusion is we haf a long long long way to go... technicalities aside first... i think everyone should be familiar with the sequence of the songs before they enter the jamming studios...this way, everybody knows whats happening next and things can go on much smoother... guess we'll have to work on that... but well..the objective of today's jamming session was to see where we are...and it achieved its objective...we know where we are now..

other things that got me thinking was the mix in the studio... it was really bad... the guitars were like clashing with each other...the bass sounded bad...everything sounded bad... i know something went wrong but i dunno what it is... i dun even know how to eq my guitar till i like the sound.. distortion was too muddy although i set the gain pretty low already... guitars didn't cut through the mix... well...haf to work this one out too..

damn...i wanna jam with my own equipments man....zzz...slowly saving up for my telecaster...

Maiden gig completed... at Eurasion Assosiation... pretty cool experience...first time performing music in public... must thank bani for asking me along...

we sang Creep, Wonderwall and Stand by me. i was happy with my performance... at least i didn't zhao sia but i did forget some of the lyrics for wonderwall... although i performed an acoustic set for the graduation in school...but this feels so different... so kan chiong when i was up on the stage...

well...side track abit...when 2 pple are not on good terms... even their instruments can't work together... like the instruments know it... my guitar string broke today and it had to be the string that did not have spares...so i guess...pretty fated la... the guitar i was using cannot be used in the same set as the guitar bani was using...luckily there was a spare acoustic on the stage...if not have to play wif a 5 string guitar for a set...pretty sad thing.... btw..dun mistaken..i am on good terms with bani... just that the guitars we used didn't belong to either of us...

well..now i wonder when, where, how and with whom will my next gig be..

sch hols are here... because got no exams to take... well..plans for holidays are just chiong drums and some guitar... hopefully can learn kurenai before the sch reopens.. realised dahlia no need double pedals can play... think gonna try practising it.

wore formal to school for the first time. pretty cool experience...

went for ibanez sale at swee lee bras basah today.... ironically...fell in love with fender telecaster... dam...the sound is so shiok... the special tele pickup at the neck....woo...the sound so sweet... shop was rather busy so i can play with it without any staff looking at me..pure bliss.. gonna save up to buy the jap tele which costs $890. i thinking of working during the hols...but dunno as what... only know its not gonna be waiter.

I wanna form a christian band. Guess may have to look out of DMAT to look for people who are serious. "After Work" seems to have been a failed attempt cos pple aren't as serious as i hope they would be. All i need is people who are really serious, willing to pay for jamming sessions, desire to imprv and grow in music, enthu abt gigs! Guess its pretty demanding.

my current top hitters of my buying list after i get my guitar
1) double pedals
2) distortion/overdrive pedal
3) an amp tt is not so loud but still sounds reasonably good

thats all i could think of so far... top 3 priorities after i get the guitar. Before i forget...i have to thank my dad for giving me the budget so i can at least take a look at some of the guitars at the sale later. Thank You.

Still no deals for a guitar yet... think no 1 selling what i want. Anyway, saw Christina today...and boy she changed quite a bit. It took a second or 2 to recall who she was... haha! Had a short chat and well... haha...what can i say... Firstly its nice to see an old friend and haf a short chat... secondly... she's changed so much...for the better... she's hotter, the way she carries and presents herself is so different...i can feel like... she's a woman now and the days in secondary school when i knew her..she was still a girl.. hard to explain la... haha..

i feel writing songs with not so usual or normal chord progressions... see how they go...

i really hope a good guitar deal comes my way....

other than this...nothing much to say...

Performance today totally went out of what my expectations were. I thought we played Goodnight Goodnight better in the studio than when we actually performed. I guess this will always happen that what u perform is not ur best. I dunno how Luna Sea went man... have to see the video... I couldn't hear myself when i was doing the guitar solo... but at least i learned something today...Malay taught me..hahaha!

To my surprise, according to Michael Spicer, i think the best item i put up today was Hazel's It's True. He said i did some pretty cool stuff. But then again, i'm on my main instrument... The instrument i am the most comfortable at... So i think i can bluff my way out more easily than when i'm on other instruments.

Went out with a group of us, lazy to name them to esplanade and had a little bit of a drink. Talk quite abit...so its pretty cool...

Anyway...my plans from now is that I wanna GROW as a drummer, GROW as a guitarist... I wanna be able to drum Mars Volta, I wanna be able to shred on the guitar!! And pls... grant me a fanstastically great deal for a guitar....
