sch has reopened... did absolutely nothing in school today... except for listen to teachers talking some stuff..like spicer talking abt structured practise... i no doubt agree that it greatly increases ur proficiency in the instrument...but 2 weeks and can shred? haha! he shredded on the sax and say its onli after 2 weeks of practise...new instrument he picked up by the way... i dun believe la...if i just commit 40 minutes of practising scales and some other studies on the guitar and i can shred like what he's doing on the saxophone in 2 weeks...i dun mind sia... but it doesn't happen unless ur someone like spicer..

DVPT...MV project...i foresee lots of work to be done...and i mean LOTS of WORK..

i guess this week's a great transition week to get u back to school from the holidays... No school on Tuesday and Thursday... what more can u ask for?

i need to learn the virtue of patience...from time to time...when my mind has nothing to ponder upon... i again feel the great lust for having a telecaster right away...though its impossible... argh!!!!!!

went to watch bani perform at esplanade... man...everytime i watch him play..its a love-hate situation... the love part comes in enjoying good music and see him play the drums is really enjoyable...he's got skill and flair which makes it very entertaining not onli to the ears but also to your eyes... double pedals...fantastic...

the hate part comes when he's your friend and you both play the same instruments..but why is he so good...and why am i onli where i am... demoralising at times....

met benita for the first time in 3 million years... seems like so long ago since we last went out together...

vocalist for my band found!!!!... Thank you Shawn, my oh so lovely and nice friend whom i had since primary school days...thanks for agreeing to it...

now can finally start planning to jam... slowly but surely we can make something work out!

schools starting... great!!..no more afternoons where i stare into the comp and listen to the same old mp3s over and over again... life is going to be slightly less boring...

watched one of the most boring football matches ever... under par performance by united and a defensive minded lille... literally no shots on target...just stray passes in midfield... at least something cracked me up... Park Ji Sung wearing the captain's armband after he replaced Giggs... CAPTAIN PARK!!!!!! haha...the commentry also harped abit about it...so did the newpaper today.. If i do get the spare cash...i'm gonna get a new united jersy wif his name and number on it...

my legs are retarded... somehow i still can't double pedal properly... guess i'll have to work on that...

Played drums for covenant for the first time...did it as a favour... pretty new experience for me... couldn't let go on the drums... music team really has a long way to go in my opinion... adapting is really a sticky issue on this matter... does adapting mean becoming okay with the standard of worship? or does adapting means being able to work in the team while still knowing that the standard is really not where its supposed to be... i think that the first option is really the easier one to take...even without you realising it... well...but anyway...i guess i'm not gonna do anymore of it for the time being...

Just finished writing a song called "The Blind Man". Sorta got most of the parts and sequence in mind already...

Nothing much to do lately... so i'm learning the basslines for Intertiatic E.S.P and Cygnus to kill some time... Not a bad solution really...Especially Cygnus...running through the song once and 10 minutes has passed... and the song ain't easy to learn at all...

If bani wanna play mars volta for concert...i dun mind sia... i think i haf a small ah beng shirt and bell bottoms... minus the afro hair and the stage antics...i guess i've got the image pretty much figured out...haha!

stayed at home most of the day but yet so many things to blog about today...

went to paul ponnudorai's clinic at earshots... man..although we missed half the show...he's totally awesome...along with the equally awesome bass player and percussionist... his tele tone is absolutely to die for...and i mean TO DIE FOR!!! man.... i so bloody want a telecaster.... maybe as a christmas present would be nice...kidding... but yea...i am lusting for it...

paul(using paul cos his full name is hell to spell and it sounds more affectionate) is absolutely brilliant on guitar... on the electric...he's just amazing...dunno how to describe... the 3 of them were just jamming...yea.. i mean like... they were just doing their stuff on the spot... and yet they sound so amazing...complementing each other... i guess 3 pros who never rehearsed before will still thrash the hell out of 3 amatuers who rehearse for hrs and days and months...

however... in my opinion... the acme or peak or watever you call it of paul's playing is not on the electric guitar... when he picks up his ovation? watever...acoustic guitar...man...he's even meaner on the electric...hard to explain but to me he seems more impressive when he's on an acoustic...

went home after that... supper at clementi alone... the feeling was pretty sad.... cos... it feels like shit to eat at a coffeeshop alone late at night... some friends to eat supper with would be very nice... a girlfriend, better... hah!... i think going out for supper with your girlfriend is a pretty damn nice thing to do.. and i think suppers should be spontaneous...shudn't be planned too much.. just like a call at 11pm saying meet at S11 or whatever at 12.30 or 1am...shudn't be anymore planning than tt..

conclusion... paul ponnudorai...awesome...telecaster...i want!!...supper...

SHUT UP AND PLAY THE GUITAR!

hi-hat stand settled... though i think my old stand was a better quality 1 minus the unmovable footboard...but this 1 will do...

found a song called Mesmerization Eclipse by Captain Beyond... dunno where did i get this track from but minus the crappy sounding band name (yea..Captain Beyond)... their music was great...

take the opportunity to apologize to benita here... sorry i didn't go down today... really sorry abt it...

i seem to be losing track of time during this hols... everyday seems to be the same...

after installing the cobras...i realise i need a new hi-hat stand... 1 with footboard that can swivel... other den tt..i think i haf a great drumset =)...

lol...was bored and went to read a local music forum...and someone started a thread about a local band called Solfusion... i thought this name sounded familiar...so i went to check the thread out and wow...my good pal from school plays drum for that band... that guy has kindly uploaded some tracks for us to download... so i couldn't stop myself from downloading it to hear how it is...since my good pal is part of it...

The download suprisingly took onli 2secs to complete...4+mb... and so i played the file on my player... and boy was i impressed.... progressive band it was...very good arrangement of the music...skilled players in the band....dam i LOVE progressive music...

like all the bands tt particular friend has been involved in...its good... damn it man... i wanna kill that guy... B-Quartet is already a big hit in the local scene, Youthwreck is in Asian Beats semis, Page has impressed me and now Solfusion which also impresses... ahhh!!!!!!

Well...no point griping abt another's success... i think i should try to create my own... gotta get my own band started...
