i think imogen heap is brilliant. she's one of those artistes who you can go back and listen and find it nice all over again. can't wait for her new album...which would probably be an end of year release.

i feel inspired to do a solo EP where i write, produce, perform and engineer it. Its in the feel like doing it stage now... and to do it...i need a new laptop/computer, Mbox, microphones. when all the elements are there and i have more than just the feeling to do it...i would probably get down and do it... but that is another year or 2...

not musically productive at the moment... haven been generating new ideas for quite a while...

So here's a little review of my mosaic week..

Broken Social Scene played a great gig... the crowd loved it... though i'm not tt much of a BSS fan, i thoroughly enjoyed myself.. what really really made it for me was that the concert sounded REALLY GOOD... and i mean REALLY GOOD... it was live sound engineering masterclass, with mixes sounding perfect and live DSP uses... awesome!

Mum took quite a while to warm up... i enjoyed the Jaga bits and it felt like it was building up into something nice until they announced that they were playing the last song... not quite the happy ending that i hoped for... but i love how icelandic people speak...their icelandic accented english is really sexy...hahaha... and their thought processes are really interesting... so i guess my $40 is justified...

The Roots was probably the highlight of my mosaic week... I for one am not a hip hop fan... but they got my head bobbing for the whole gig... really awesome stuff!! it was really funny to see so many white people grooving to the roots though...hahaha.....

Weekend Trip was okay for us...i think we delivered a good set..though i felt i wasn't at my best vocal wise... Anyway..more stuff to come... i is excites....

YES!! You And Whose Army? is playing at Weekend Trip this Saturday 7.30pm @ Youth Park! Please do come if you can make it!! Thanks!!

i still really like the zhang xuan cd... though its kinda pop... but yea...somehow i like it... maybe i'm selling out...hahaha...

i've had some time today to think through what i've been through in my 3 years in SP and what i want to do in the future... listened through works i've done... still like some...which probably is a good thing...

as for the future... nearest big plan is get the YaWA? EP out... hopefully we'll have enough interest to do a small launch... HOPEFULLY...

as for a career... i would like to be involved in music production.... like as an engineer or producer or both... and hopefully be able to get the odd gig as a drummer... haha...i'll have to up my drumming for that to happen...

well...i have at least 2 years to look for a place to start... i have no idea at the moment... but 2 years to look for doors to knock... meanwhile... i shall live my rock star dream as hard as i can...

couple of good things happened this week... i really thank Adam and Benita for taking the trouble to order the In Rainbows boxset for my birthday... its a prized asset now! haha...

my friends are buying me a bicycle for my belated birthday present as well...changi village here i come!!!

I finally got my copy of Zhang Xuan's debut album My life will...

i really really like it... really refreshing from the taiwan market... songs and arrangements are really simple folk pop rock... i think its the most ang moh concept album to come out from taiwan in recent times...
i think this album can fight things that come out from other places... and to have 2 songs recorded and mixed in malmo, Sweden is also plus points for me...hahaha..

Mosaic for me starts tomorrow!!
