First post since i enlisted... i am coping okay in the service...less than 2 months to POP!
To the main point of today's post.
I had time to reflect again on the final mixes of the YaWA? ep...we are still waiting for news on the master.... first of...i thought it was a pretty good job done considering the circumstances we were in...time and money that is... i feel that YaWA? still has some distance to cover musicianship wise... i feel that the arrangements for a couple of songs in the EP could have been more polished... could have played with Reason a bit more.
That being said..i am still very excited about the upcoming EP release which we really really really hope to rush out come Baybeats.
If NS vocation does permit... i hope to save up and get my mini home recording system up and running... i hope to record a couple of songs...either YaWA? or my own stuff.. kind of like what imogen heap is doing at the moment... i want to try that... assuming budget permits...could find a nice place to record drums, track guitars at snakeweed and bring everything back home to mix and slice and splice up and probably do some form of release, maybe online or a mini party release gig thing...
Baybeats end August... fingers crossed, i hope we can come up with 1 new song by then!
